Boat Rentals on Lake Lewisville

Owner-operated pontoons, a do-it-all sport boat, a bass boat, and jet skis — the widest fleet at one lake. Full tank to start, you drive it yourself, and you book online in a couple minutes.

NTX Watercraft Rentals is a local, owner-operated boat rental on Lake Lewisville, run by Danny and Nathan. Instead of one type of boat, you get the whole lineup at one lake — a luxury Bennington pontoon for big groups, a loaded Crownline that skis, wakes, tubes and fishes, a tournament-ready Nitro bass boat, a swimmer-safe SeaDoo Switch, and a jet ski when you just want speed. Fuel is included on most rentals, pricing is per boat (not per person), and there are no surprise fees. You drive it yourself after a hands-on orientation at the dock — no captain required.

Lake Lewisville boat rental FAQ

How much does it cost to rent a boat on Lake Lewisville?

Boat rentals on Lake Lewisville start at $120 for a 2-hour jet ski and run from about $200 to $400 for a half day on a pontoon or sport boat. NTX prices are per boat, not per person — every boat starts with a full tank, with no surprise add-on fees.

Do I need a boating license to rent on Lake Lewisville?

Under Texas law, anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 must carry a Texas Parks & Wildlife boater education card to operate a motorized boat over 15 hp. The course takes about three hours online at tpwd.texas.gov. Born before that date? No course is required.

Where do you launch on Lake Lewisville?

We meet at Copperas Branch Park in Highland Village on Lake Lewisville. There's no storefront to visit — once you reserve, we send the exact ramp, parking, and park entry details in your confirmation, and we can often deliver to a lakefront dock.

Can I rent a jet ski on Lake Lewisville?

Yes. We rent a SeaDoo jet ski (seats 3, from $120 for two hours) plus the SeaDoo Switch — a jet-powered pontoon with no exposed propeller that's safer around swimmers. Life jackets and a quick dock orientation are included with every jet ski rental.

Do I need a captain, or can I drive the boat myself?

You drive — no captain required. NTX is self-drive friendly: the listed operator just needs to be 18 or older with a valid driver's license (and a Texas boater card if required by age). We give you a full hands-on orientation at the dock before you head out.

What's included in a Lake Lewisville boat rental?

Every rental includes Coast Guard-approved adult and child life jackets, a throw device, fire extinguisher, engine kill switch, and a hands-on orientation. Each boat starts with a full tank — gas isn't included, and after your trip you pay only for the fuel you actually used (or pre-pay for gas when you book). You just bring swimwear, sunscreen, food, drinks, and a cooler (we don't supply one). Bluetooth audio is on board.

How far in advance should I book?

Book as early as you can for summer weekends — prime Saturday slots often fill one to two weeks out from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Weekdays you can frequently book same day. You reserve online in a couple minutes and pay securely by card.
