Terms of Service
Last updated July 19, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of ntxwatercraftrentals.com and your rental of boats and watercraft from NTX Watercraft Rentals (“NTX Watercraft,” “we,” “us”), a DBA of DSRP Investments LLC, operating on Lake Lewisville, Texas. By booking a rental, using this site, or checking the acknowledgment boxes at checkout, you agree to these Terms. Your booking is also governed by the acknowledgments you accept at checkout and the liability waiver you sign — where those documents are more specific, they control.
Bookings & payment
- A booking is confirmed when payment completes and you receive a confirmation email and/or text with your booking ID.
- Prices are shown at checkout. Texas state and local sales tax (8.25%) applies to rentals and add-ons and is shown in your checkout total.
- Payments are processed securely by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
- Bookings made through a marketplace (such as Boatsetter) are paid through that platform, and that platform's payment terms also apply.
- Park entry at the launch location is governed by the park. Any entry fee the park charges (for example, a per-vehicle day pass) is not included in your rental. Current entry instructions are provided in your confirmation.
Cancellations, refunds & weather
- 5+ days before your start time: full refund, minus 5% card-processing costs.
- 2–5 days before your start time: 50% refund.
- Within 48 hours of your start time: no refund.
- Weather: if we cancel for severe weather (heavy rain, thunderstorms, lightning, sustained winds of 20+ mph, or other unsafe conditions), you choose a full refund or a free reschedule. We make that call no later than 2 hours before your start time. Light rain or breezy conditions are not grounds for cancellation.
Security deposit & additional charges
- A refundable $1,000 security-deposit authorization hold is placed on your card before your trip and released automatically if there is no damage.
- Late returns: $50 per 15 minutes (or any part of one) past your scheduled return time.
- Fuel: the boat is delivered with a full tank; gas is not included. Unless pre-paid, fuel used during your rental is billed after the trip at refueling cost plus a convenience fee.
- You authorize us to charge late-return, fuel, and damage charges to your card on file, deduct them from any security-deposit or fuel hold, or — for marketplace bookings — collect them through the platform's deposit or payment method on file.
Waivers & who may ride or drive
- Every adult in your party must sign our liability waiver before the trip starts. For children, a parent or guardian signs on their behalf. The waiver link is in your confirmation.
- Texas law requires anyone born on or after September 1, 1993 to hold a Boater Education Card to operate a vessel with an engine over 15 HP (tpwd.texas.gov).
- Your party may not exceed the vessel's stated capacity — children count toward the total.
On the water
- Arrive 15–30 minutes early for the walk-around and orientation. Your rental clock starts at the booked time regardless of when you arrive; trips cannot be extended for late arrivals.
- Operate the vessel lawfully and follow our safety instructions. All jet-ski riders must wear life jackets at all times.
- No glass containers and no red wine aboard. Liquor must be in pre-mixed plastic or aluminum containers — glass is illegal on the lake.
- We may refuse, suspend, or end a rental for unsafe, unlawful, or intoxicated operation, without refund. (We'd much rather not — please boat responsibly.)
Calls & text messages
We call or text the phone number on your booking for rental logistics — confirmations, waiver links, reminders, day-of coordination, and customer support. Message frequency varies and message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts at any time, or HELP for help. We never sell or share your number. Full details are in our Privacy Policy & SMS Terms.
Liability & the website
- Boating carries inherent risks. Your rental is subject to the liability waiver you sign, which contains the release, assumption-of-risk, and indemnification terms that govern your trip.
- The website and its content are provided “as is” without warranties; boat availability, specifications, and photos may change.
- Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Electronic agreement, changes & governing law
- Checking the acknowledgment boxes and typing your name at checkout acts as your legal electronic signature under the federal E-SIGN Act and the Texas UETA.
- We may update these Terms; the version posted at the time of your booking applies to that booking. We'll update the “last updated” date above when we do.
- These Terms are governed by Texas law. Venue for any dispute is Denton County, Texas.
